Your Role:

In this role, you will deliver superior business growth results as you shape a progressive business development culture for our growth-oriented community bank. You will contribute your unique talents, skills and experiences to role model and coach relationship building skills, setting high levels of accountability with team members. You will cultivate, maintain and strengthen relationships with community bank leadership, actively promoting cross-company partnership and teamwork. You will lead your team and our bank to get better every day.

  • Execute strategic and tactical plans to ensure market growth and client retention targets are met
  • Ensure weekly business development activities are completed and reinforce them with active, ongoing role modeling and coaching
  • Generate organic deposit growth and assist with deposit pricing negotiations that support Bank OZK’s NIM and efficiency goals
  • Lead, coach and develop multiple Banking Center Managers and/or Business Development Officers to successfully execute against defined business development goals and service standards
  • Demonstrate accountability for business development-related key performance indicators (goals), in addition to new client growth, client expansion, exception pricing mitigation, fee waiver management, and other metrics as determined by management
  • Coordinate and create synergies between multiple banking centers and business partners to focus on and achieve business objectives
  • Lead by example and be a change agent to help banking center team members evolve to meet shifting client needs and demands
  • Enthusiastically embrace, support and model the bank’s values and mission
  • Drive high performance through coaching and role-modeling
  • Model talent development skills and business development skills to facilitate strong employee engagement
  • Identify and recruit talent and build a highly effective team

Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor degree or commensurate work experience required
  • 2+ years business development and leadership experience required
  • Proven, consistent achievement of business growth goals and financial targets required
  • Experience managing, leading and coaching professionals required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of bank products/services and regulations preferred
  • NMLS preferred (required for lending activities)
