A role with Target Packaging is an opportunity to support the development of packaging for Target’s beloved owned brands, exclusive partnerships and transit packaging. Your influence will drive sales and grow brand love through packaging that’s guest-centric, on brand, competitive “at shelf” and category relevant. Here, you’ll leverage internal and external partnerships to support packaging planning, project management, print development, copy and structural development to achieve market differentiation. As part of a global team spanning the U.S., China and India, you’ll have partners at sourcing offices overseas, as well as international vendors and suppliers. You will review specifications, communicate directly with vendors and suppliers, conduct testing and provide results.
As Technician, you will:
Work under the direction of the Packaging Sustainability Strategy Lead to support sustainability deliverables.
Manage, analyze and interpret large data sets
Verify all specifications are complete and accurate. Input into proper systems.
Develop impactful visualizations and insights and be able to communicate them to business partners in a clear, compelling manner
Understand, utilize and provide feedback on the technology related to Packaging workflow.
Two or four year degree or equivalent experience
Strong analytical, problem solving, and detail orientation skills
Prior experience with packaging or consumer goods manufacturing preferred
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Proficiency with O365 suite/Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work, contribute and lead in a team environment
Ability to work and communicate in a highly collaborative environment
Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is ($18.70/hour) to ($33.65/hour). This position may be eligible to be virtual based (also known as full-time remote) or could be ‘Flex for your Day’, a hybrid model where the team member has some flexibility to choose how and where they work to maximize their productivity and well-being, based on Target’s needs. Most of Target's HQ team members work ‘Flex for Your Day’ with a blend of virtual work and onsite at a Target HQ location. Team members work with their leader to determine how the role, team, partners and business determines the flexibility. For team members who work virtual based, they enter into a work arrangement that means the team member works full-time from home or a non-Target location, and do not have a workstation at their assigned HQ location, but may travel to a HQ site up to 4 times a year.
