Personal Lines Processor (Insurance Coordinator)


We are looking for someone who wants to play an important supporting role in our Personal Lines operation. You will provide critical support to a team of Account Managers, helping to ensure we are providing service that creates raving fans. You will develop a deep relationship with your co-workers and play a critical role in solving problems.

Job Responsibilities

Monitors and reviews download files received from insurers, reviewing for completeness and accuracy.

Coordinate all signature requirements and application processing.

Coordinate post-onboarding communication with new clients, making them feel good about their decision to trust LBI with their personal insurance.

Review and compare insurance options for existing clients at the anniversary of their policy.

Produce and distribute Auto IDs for personal lines clients.

Manage and follow through on late payment notices generated by insurers for clients.

Process and manage changes/endorsements/cancellations for personal lines clients, including lienholder changes and mortgage company correspondence.

Review and monitor claims experience for assigned personal lines clients.

Handles direct billing inquiries.

Processes returned mail.

Follows quality control requirements tightly.

Develops and maintains a working knowledge of personal lines insurance industry in West Michigan.

Takes an active role in department and agency meetings. Participates in EOS process and utilizes applicable tools.

Required Skills and Qualities

This person must demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills.

This person will need to hold a Property & Casualty Insurance License within 90 days following date of employment. Licensing costs and training are provided by LBI. This person will be required to maintain that license by meeting the continuing education state requirements.

This role will require communication of technical insurance information to people who aren’t experts in the field. Excellent communication skills will be required for this. We would like to see demonstrated ability to deliver information in a way that a layperson can follow and understand.

This is a role that requires a lot of information to be communicated to and between our clients and our insurers. Strong attention to detail is required to do this accurately and efficiently. This person must be task oriented and have excellent organizational skills.

Strong time management skills are required for this position. The nature of our work allows us to reasonably predict our workload, but there are many deadlines that need to be met. This person will need to be disciplined with their time in order to be successful. The ability to prioritize tasks while being sensitive to client needs is important. A strong sense of follow-through is also crucial.

At LBI, we strive to lift each other up. This person must be a cooperative team player with an enthusiastic attitude. A demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude while adapting to new or changing circumstances will be handy for the person in this role.

A high level of computer literacy is required. This person should have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Applied products is helpful, but not necessary. Any demonstrated ability to learn and use software will be helpful.

Some personal lines insurance experience is preferred, but not necessary. Same with a college degree or insurance designation. If you are excited to solve problems for our clients, we will teach you everything you need to know about insurance and the future positions and possibilities that it can provide.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
