Overview

FuelCell Energy has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, passionate and motivated individual to define, develop, implement, and lead a program that allows us to extract maximum value from the CO2 that we capture. Our approach may involve building, buying, or partnering to complete the CO2/Energy value chain, and will likely require a myriad of approaches that vary by geography (global scope) or segment use case (Food & Bev, Medical, EOR, Sequestration, etc.)

This individual will engage on specific commercial opportunities (in concert with the Sales and Application Engineering team) as well as develop the overall strategic approach to CO2 offtake that will govern our go-to-market.

  • Together with the sales and solution leaders, develop a CO2 gameplan on each carbon capture commercial opportunity.
  • Identify and quantify the value of all forms of CO2 offtake by geography and segment
  • Secure business relationships with potential partners in the CO2 ecosystem.
  • Identify potential M&A targets to enhance our value proposition
  • Act as commercial representative for key customer relationships
  • Be involved in customer site visits to facilitate onboarding of new customers and to maintain strong customer relationships
  • In concert with commercial executive team:
  • build, refine and execute our go-to-market strategy
  • understand and remove key barriers to success through targeted communications, development of new sales tools and collaborative efforts across business units
  • ensure business objectives and priorities are enabled with the organization

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance. MBA preferred
  • Experience: 10+ years’ energy industry experience in Sales, Business Development, and Strategy. Demonstrated experience in industrial gas markets – experience with CO2 preferred
  • Authenticity, integrity and humility with the ability to build trust and followership at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence / motivate individuals and teams without hierarchical authority.
