We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as a Database Administrator. Database administrators use specialized software to store and organize data, such as financial information or customer data. They make sure that the data is available to users and is secure from unauthorized access. They make sure that developers and data analysts can easily use and connect to databases to find the information they need. Database administrators are responsible for backing up systems to prevent data loss in case of a power outage or other disaster. They also ensure the integrity of the database, performing maintenance and DB checks.

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

Build and configure Servers and databases
Manage, maintain, and administer the company's SQL Server, MySQL, and Redshift databases to ensure availability, reliability, and security of all company data
Query Databases for PII or other sensitive data, auditing these databases to ensure encryption and permissions are set up correctly
Auditing database permissions through queries to ensure the proper permissions are set
Ensure all database servers are backed up to ensure timely and accurate restoration in the event of a failure or outage
Perform test backup/restore to ensure RTO and RPO objectives can be met
Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms and accurately alert on production impacting issues
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance issues to determine the most effective way to increase performance including server configuration changes, or index/query changes
Reviews performance of existing solutions against expectations. Identifies gaps if identified.
Assist developers with review of schema changes and queries
Perform installation and/or and upgrades of database servers and application tools
Plan storage and other resource requirements for the databases
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Participates in project planning
Performs own analysis on moderately complex assignments, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations affecting current and new projects. Looks for solutions and analyzes results. Reviews performance/product against quality standards.
Document the company’s database environment
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

3+ years of relevant experience
Excellent technical and non-technical writing and communication abilities
Organized and detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines and think critically

Compensation Range:
$90,000 - $100,000 / year USD

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
