Quality Insights is searching for a Data Analyst to assist with a full range of analytic tasks within the life cycle of quality improvement and research projects, including collecting, compiling, validating, and analyzing data; interpreting and presenting findings through oral presentations and written reports.
Responsibilities include:

  • Assists with collection, compilation, validation, and analysis of a wide range of data types, including medical record, administrative and survey data, through the use of computer-based applications
  • Interprets results of analysis and identifies trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Provides ongoing customer reports and graphical presentations to clearly illustrate analytic findings
  • Assists with development, implementation and maintenance of data collection systems and databases
  • Identifies inconsistencies or other problems with data and cleanses the data, as appropriate
  • Verifies and ensures the accuracy of all assigned tasks and analytic output
  • Documents computer programs and activities so that other staff may replicate work
  • Assists in communication of findings from analytic work to wide-range of audiences including nonanalytic staff members and customers
  • Contributes to technical reports and manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed publications, trade magazines and white papers
  • Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities and contributes to innovation within the company
  • Serves as an integral member of project teams by attending and participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of improved interventions and programs
  • Serves as an integral member of the Scientific Support Department, attending and participating in staff and training meetings and sharing knowledge within the Department and throughout the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, SAS knowledge a plus
  • Strong knowledge and experience with relational databases, SQL and other reporting tools
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with multiple teams, while meeting time constraints and expectations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral

Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in mathematics, computer science, information management, epidemiology, healthcare administration, public health or a related quantitative discipline. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience in data compilation and analysis. SAS knowledge and expertise is a plus.
