Job description

CHIEF OF STAFF ROLE

As Chief of Staff to the CEO of Klatch, you’ll help lead a small, fast-paced startup to launch and scale nationally. You’ll work closely with a seasoned founder & team to help manage and execute on almost every aspect of the company. You will immediately jump in and start executing on critical day-to-day tasks from product development to recruiting, project management, legal, go-to-market strategy & execution and more. You will take and run projects from concept to execution and should have the ability to zoom in from the big picture to incredible attention to detail all while balancing often competing and changing priorities. You should have exceptional organizational abilities and manage up to the CEO while helping translate his priorities into action. This role is not an executive assistant or glorified manager one but rather a former founder or former early startup employee who has experience in management and making big decisions and can also dive into the weeds when necessary and get their hands dirty. Early market entry, digital marketing, sales / business development are a plus for this role.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience as a former founder or key early startup employee
  • Experience with HR, Quickbooks Payroll & State filings a plus
  • Experience in taking an early product to market is a plus
  • 4+ years professional work required (will consider exceptional candidates with less with adjusted comp)
  • 2+ years in management, including project management, experience in product development, marketing, team management, general technical knowledge
  • Direct experience taking a product to market (sales, digital marketing, social media) preferred
  • Superior organizational capabilities (you can quickly sum up a meeting to-dos and make sure everyone is on track)
  • Ability to self-manage and manage up, across, and down in an organization
  • The highest level of attention to detail
  • Experience implementing best practice project management tools & tactics
  • Experience in developing training materials or facilitating online workshops a plus
  • Ability to move quickly and be highly adaptable on priorities
  • Experience recruiting, managing contractors & teams
  • Digital marketing background and/or social media experience a plus
  • Ability to follow-up on key business relationships and strategic partnerships and sit in the room with executives

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

As the Chief of Staff you will be entrusted with an incredible amount of responsibility on company-critical initiatives. You will be the right hand of the CEO to execute on all major company priorities. This may include product development, drawing up wireframes at times, technical research & implementation, recruiting employees and contractors, HR, team management, working with customers, managing legal, developing processes for every aspect of the business, setting policies, onboarding facilitators, building training, taking point on business development, marketing, and sales, and catching just about everything thrown your way. Past direct experience having taken a B2C product to market is highly valuable. You will work closely with the CEO to execute on priorities and strategy and execute on those with our small, nimble team. You should be able and willing to jump into just about anything.

COMPENSATION:

Meaningful Equity + $60-90k Salary based on professional experience, capability, & equity allocation. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and disability.

24 hour access to free, unlimited telehealth provided by the company for your whole family (including unlimited psychiatry, primary care, chiropractic, nutritionist, and dermatology).
